Purchasing items online has greatly improved our lives. Such convenience somehow pose a security threat to anyone that has less knowledge on how to determine if a website is secure and if any information is being hacked.
When buying online, perform the following checks:
The site address should have an “https” not “http” and have the padlock icon.
Look for the green address bar.
Seeing both shows that you are on an encrypted website and that your credit card information and any other sensitive data submitted are secure.
